Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Review

Hi everyone here is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 from Samsung and comes in a coupled ifferent variants under the plus size now we're going to talk about price thedifferent specs the set up take a look at the hardware and also some of the software but if you want to see any one of those parts of the video and justjump around to them I've left the time codes in the description below so youcan take a look at it now this particular variant comes in two different types or two different sizes 256 gigabytes of storage for a thousand99 with 12 gigabytes of RAM in the plus model and then also a 512 gigabytevariant for 1199 and this one is actually the 256 gigabyte variant let'sgo ahead and open it up here it comes in four different colors or a glow or a white and I've already loosened this or a black and then this one or a blue solet's go ahead and well before we take a look at that looks like we've got somepaperwork underneath here let's take a look at this and then it looks likewe've got a sim card removal tool or ejector tool and that's everything inside here and it looks like we've got a quick reference guide just has someinformation about the phone probably and we'll take a closer look at thatourselves terms and conditions says it's packaged with a screen protector alreadyon the display which is nice and then get the most out of your phone so we'll set those aside and take a closer look at the phone itself let's go ahead andlift this out and we'll pull this off and see what we've got here so this isthe phone itself we'll take a closer look at that in just a moment let's seewhat else is in the box here this little pamphlet here and pull this out we'vegot a fast charger although this particular model can charge with up to a45 watt charger this one says super fast charging this one I think is a 25 wattcharger and this one will charge quite fast but not as fast as full speed seewhat we've got here I've got two little tabs here it looks like we've got someprobably for the s-pen and then also maybe an adapter it's an adapter fortransferring data from one phone to another and then inside here see if wecan get that out there we go and you can see here is well there's the little toolfor changing the tip on the s-pen so you've got the little a new tip for thes-pen and then also the tool for removing it so it's nice they'veincluded that again they do that every year let me set these aside let's seewhat else we've got here and it looks like we've got a USB  cable and it'sUSB C 2 USB C it looks like so that's included and then we've got someheadphones here and these have USB C on them as well so the note 10 plus removesthe headphone jack so we get some USB C headphones let me set all of this asideand we'll take a closer look at the phone itself now this is the Galaxy Note10 and or the 10 plus rather and for a quick size comparison.

I actually have an S 10 plus here on the side so this gives you an idea of size it's a little bittaller as you can see here if I put them like this here try not to bang them intoeach other you'll see it's a little bit taller and just a little bit wider nottoo much and the thickness is very close they're they're both made of metal theyboth feel very high quality the note feels good in the hand and it probablylooks like a normal note instead of a note 10 plus in my hand now let's goaround the outside the front and back are glass of course so you'll want to becareful with that they're Gorilla Glass and then also on the side we now have abixby slash power sleep/wake button then we have a volume rocker and this is onthe left side of the phone on the top we have our SIM card tray and we shouldhave some expandable storage there let's take a look at that we'll pop this outhere happen to have a SIM card ejector tool handy so it looks like we've gotour SIM card tray along with spendable storage and that's up to oneterabyte of extra storage and then in the top we've got some microphones itlooks like nothing on the right side of the phone so no more buttons over herewhich is kind of strange where your thumb lands that's where you get to turnon the the phone itself on the s10 plus and then on the on the bottom we've gotour s-pen our speaker USB C and a microphone and then the S Pen shouldcharge itself while it's in place and now has a 6 F axis gyro in here as wellwe'll take a look at that in a moment now the display should be one of thebest in the industry Samsung makes displays for iPhones and they usuallymake some of the best displays for their own phones so this is a six point eightinch display 1440 by three thousand fourteen with a 19 to 9 aspect ratio in498 pixels per inch it also supports HDR 10 plus now internally.

We have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with an Adreno 640 GPU this is theUnited States variant there are Exynos variants as well around the world andthen we also have speakers top and bottom and their Dolby Atmos enhancedspeakers and then on the front we have a 10 megapixel camera with an F 2.2aperture that is 26 millimeters wide it also has the dual pixel autofocus andcan record in 4k 30 now if we take a look at the cameras on the back this iswhere this gets a little bit interesting with the note 10 plus and the note 10plus has three cameras plus a depth sensor or a time-of-flight sensor so wehave a 12 megapixel F 1.5 variable aperture 22.4 27 millimeter wide anglelens then we also have a 12 megapixel F 2.1 with a 52 millimeter telephoto lensand then also a 16 megapixel F 2.2 12 millimeter ultra wide lens we also havea time-of-flight 3d VGA depth camera as well so we've got all of these reallynice features built in now the phone itself is ip68 certified so getting itwet shouldn't be too much of an issue and then also it has a 4300 milliamphour bad in the back that supports up to 45 wattfast charging in the 10 plus so we can support that and supposedly 15 wattwireless charging as well now along with all of that we also getWi-Fi a total Evan ABG and a C and a X or Wi-Fi six.

It's dual band and then also bluetooth 5.0 with apt X so we've got all these really nice features and in the United States supposedly there's an FM radio inside of this as well solet's go ahead and turn it on and we'll get it set up now Samsung has always hadincredibly nice displays of course they make the displays custom order for Appleas well with their iPhone so they've kind of always been ahead in the pastfew generations based on the nicer displays that they're putting in things like the note and I like how it goes all the way to the edge with almost no bezeland you can see that better here so let's go ahead and set this up we'll hitnext here so it's going to talk me through this entire process so you haveto agree to the end-user License Agreement and privacy policy so you cando that but you don't have to agree to the diagnostic data we can set up ourinformation either Wireless or with a cable maybe I'll use a cable here we'llhit next so now if I want to move data over maybe I'll use my pixel three XLit's already set up with all the Android apps that I like so we can plug in USB Cto USB C on the pixel I had to set up file transfer on the pixel itself andnow it says connecting to Android device to bring your data so now it'sconnecting I'll wait for it to transfer everything and then we'll be right backonce it's completed now that didn't take that long so now it's asking me to signin with Google so I'll do that so now we'll set the date and time will agreeto Google services and then we can protect our phone we can use facerecognition or finger prints I'm going to use fingerprints and hopefully thisone's a lot better than the s 10 plus I had a lot of issues with that one and I still do so now we're going to scan our fingerprint so you'll see it says pressa little harder hopefully like I said this one's a lot better than the s10plus there we go and it's adding finishing touches so I'm signed in to Samsung we'll hitfinish it says don't disconnect cable transferring but it actually told me italready did that so we should be all set now the phone's been set up let's seehow the fingerprint sensor is and much faster than the s10 plus.

I've had allsorts of issues with the fingerprint sensor on the s10 plus and many peoplehave reported the same it seems like it's much much better much faster and itseems to work a lot better on this device now there's a few features Iwanted to check out as we go over this this is running Android 9 right nowand let's take a look at the update version so you can see here it's Android9 and if we scroll down the security patch level is from August so it's allup to date it's getting the monthly security patch updates so we're good togo there now as far as some of the features one of the things that Ithought was really interesting is with the s-pen if we take the S Pen out hereand then we go over to Samsung notes which I actually have open you'll seeI've written hi we can put a line under it whatever we want and if we hit thisbutton down here at the bottom we can convert this to text so we hit convertand now it says hi now it didn't understand a couple of the scribbles butlet's try Zolo tech see if it understands it and we'll hit the buttonhere and it says convert so it works really well and that's great if you havemessy handwriting like myself and you want to convert that to actual textthat's searchable later on and you want to save that so that's one of the nicenew features and then the Pens have gestures now or the S Pen has gesturessure we'll turn that on and if we want to change modes we hold the button downand then move the pen it has a gyro in it so ifwe move it you'll see actually it's taking a bunch of photos let's see if wedo this we can move it there we go live focus video we can move it back lookslike we have to press the button again to do that it doesn't work incrediblywell but every time I do that I have to press and hold the button so you'll seethat there we go and it's working now live focus video is new as wellnow I played around with this earlier and if you take a look at this videohere it's a little weird with the live focus video look at these edges righthere it gets out of focus and things and I think it works better with people butthat was just an initial test.

I'll try it out a little bit laternow there's also super steady shot which should be really nice when you're usingthe video and you need it to be super steady but it is only 1080p and thenthere's also that depth of vision camera on the back which you can scan 3dobjects I'll have to take a closer look at that at another time this also hasSamsung Dex and link to Windows as well so you can use Dex plugged into a Macand use this on your Mac so I'm really interested to try that out and see whatthat's all about but overall the phone feels incrediblyfast anytime I'm swiping through things you'll see it's really fast my onlycomplaint maybe is I'm not a huge fan of one UI I actually prefer the pixellauncher so I may mess around with that with Nova Launcher but you still get allthe different pen features and everything built-in and you've got thelittle side or apps edge here that works really well this screen protector that'sbuilt in actually seems to to go right up here it's you'd barely know it'sthere with that screen protector that's installed so that's really nice and thenif I spin the camera around here and you'll see to me this looks really goodon the video and I actually have live focus now so I don't know if you can seethat but around my hair and things it's a little bit blurry it's not exactlywhat a real lens would look like but it's not bad at all overall for what youget for the amount of money compared to say an iPhone or something else there'sa tremendous amount of value here it's just whether or not you like the curvededge of this glass.

How Corona Virus may Change the Tech World

Tech companies have traditionally been at the forefront of revolutionizing office space. Apple Park is designed to be seamless with nature. It's open, transparent. It brings the outside in. Open floor plans have become the norm in many industries after tech companies touted the advantage of this arrangement for collaboration and innovation. And perks like in-offices, childcare centers, and communal cafeterias have also gained traction, as companies compete to attract top talent. But coronavirus may make this type of work environment a thing of the past, at least for the near future, as companies try to balance communal work with safety. In an investigation recently published bySouth Korea's Centers for Disease Control, out of the 216 people who worked on the floor of a call center, 94 people tested positive for the virus. And employees are understandably concerned. A recent survey of over 2,000full-time employees showed that over half believe their work site will need to be res...
